Sunday morning faith formation classes for children in grades preschool—6 will meet 3-4 Sundays per month from late September through May. Classes are held from 9:30-10:20am in the Benincasa Center. We offer three classes:  Preschool- K, 1st-3rd grade,  and 4rd—6thgrade.

The younger children’s classes will use a curriculum called Godly Play.  The teachers and children will prayerfully and playfully explore parables, sacred stories, the sacraments, prayer and liturgy.

The older children’s class will thoughtfully and creatively explore our faith through the use of a 3 year spiral curriculum called “Finding God.”

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Beth Bruder (206) 524-8800 ext. 105. Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered at 8:30 and 10:30 mass from September through mid-June.  This program allows children ages 4-12 the opportunity to leave the main assembly after the opening prayer and gather for a more age-appropriate and engaging proclamation and exploration of the Scriptures.

Vacation Bible School

July 16 to 20, 2018

Beth Bruder  (206) 524-8800 ext. 105.  Each summer children ages 4-12 are invited to participate in our Vacation Bible School (VBS) program.  VBS is a fun-filled opportunity for children to grow in faith as they explore scripture through storytelling, drama, art, outdoor games, songs, and skits.

We need many volunteers to make VBS happen–adults and youth. We need people to help plan, create sets, set-up, and assist the week of VBS. High School and Jr. High volunteers are encouraged to participate as small group leaders.  Please contact Beth if you are able to volunteer.
