in order to embrace hope:
that is the strength of faith,
which frees us from fear
and gives us hope.”

Meet Mariah

Youth Minister

Mariah Nickerson is the Youth Minister for N Seattle Catholic Youth.

Mariah is from Reno, Nevada. Mariah converted to the Catholic faith when she was sixteen years old. Mariah is currently a senior at Seattle University, and is majoring in Theology and Religious Studies with a Christian Theology minor.

Mariah loves hiking with family and friends, reading, writing, drinking coffee and tea, God, and studying Theology. Mariah's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:4-7! Mariah strives to help the youth of the Church, and a passion for this comes from her conversion as a teenager. As Pope Francis said in his homily at World Youth Day 2019 in Panama: "You, dear young people, are not the future but the now of God." Mariah hopes to help youth find their role as being the now of the Church and become saints!
