Welcome to St. Catherine of Siena Parish!

We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people. Email us.

St. Catherine of Siena Parish is a Roman Catholic Church located in the Maple Leaf neighborhood of North Seattle. As a vibrant faith community, our mission is to continue the work of Jesus Christ in the following ways:

To respond with gratitude and generosity for all the gifts God has given us. (stewardship)
To proclaim joyfully the good news of God’s saving love for all people (word)
To nurture and grow a community of believers through prayer and fellowship (community)
To give witness to our faith by serving the needs of others (service)

Our parish school, founded in 1941, bustles with 200 students in kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as about 38 in our preschool program. The mission of our parish school is "As a Catholic school we prepare and graduate students who show Competence, Conscience, and Compassion as children of God by using their minds well, acting justly and serving the needs of others."

A Pastoral Letter from the Catholic Bishops of the State of Washington:

Please see the letter by clicking here, or call the office for a copy.  This letter talks about Catholic Social Teaching and our role as a faithful people.  Included is a Prayer for a Faithful Community, and we are asked to pray for those in poverty.  See Pope Frances’ quote below.

“I want a Church which is poor and for the poor. They have much to teach us.
We need to let ourselves be evangelized by them.”
~Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium, no. 198

Also see another letter from Archbishop Sartain and Bishop Elizondo on our support of people who are refugees and immigrants to our country.  Father will be reading this letter at Mass.  Click here to see this letter.
